Welcome to Mound Elementary, Magnet for Science and Global Citizenship! Mound has a rich history of excellence, which we are thrilled to continue. We are dedicated to working alongside families to give our students the finest learning environment and opportunities. At Mound, we offer a rigorous, hands-on curriculum based on Common Core State Standards, using STEM practices which will prepare our students to be 21st Century learners. Our campus is filled with learning opportunities such as school gardens, a science lab, and an aquaponics lab, to name just a few. We value our diverse population and celebrate the contributions of all. Students at Mound learn to appreciate each other's differences and collaborate with their peers to solve problems in their world. Along with the counselor, teachers, and entire staff, I am here to serve families and help students successfully navigate their elementary years.
